NVIDIA Quadro RTX 4000 Graphics Card — Professional Visualization GPU (Refurbished, India)
The NVIDIA Quadro RTX 4000 is a single-slot, Turing-generation (TU104) professional GPU built for CAD, 3D content creation, video editing and virtual desktop workstations — not a data-centre AI training accelerator. Serverwale sells this unit refurbished, load-tested and warranty-backed, at a fraction of new pricing. If you're comparing it against newer Ampere/Ada cards for deep learning training, read the "where this will let you down" section below before you buy.
Who this GPU is actually built for
- CAD, BIM & architectural visualization — ISV-certified for AutoCAD, Revit and SOLIDWORKS; the 36 RT Cores give real-time ray-traced viewport previews that consumer GeForce drivers don't officially support in these apps.
- 3D content creation & rendering — Maya, 3ds Max, Houdini viewport work and GPU-accelerated render previews (V-Ray RT, Redshift, Octane) benefit from the 2,304 CUDA Cores and 8GB frame buffer.
- Video editing & colour grading — Premiere Pro / DaVinci Resolve GPU-accelerated effects, scaling and light colour work.
- Virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) — single-slot form factor and 160W board power make it a common pick for GPU-passthrough workstation VMs.
- Light to medium AI inference — running or experimenting with small pretrained models (2nd-gen Tensor Cores) is fine; this is not a training card (see below).
Where this GPU will let you down
- Not for large-scale deep learning training. 8GB of non-ECC GDDR6 and no NVLink means no multi-GPU memory pooling — large batch sizes and big models won't fit. For real AI/ML training workloads, look at our GPU servers or AI infrastructure builds with A100/A6000-class cards instead.
- No NVLink. Unlike the RTX 5000/6000/8000, the RTX 4000 has no NVLink bridge — it cannot scale across cards. One card, one job.
- Turing, not Ampere/Ada. This is a 2018-generation chip. Tensor throughput (57 TFLOPS) is a fraction of current-gen cards — fine for inference/CAD, weak for anything compute-heavy and time-sensitive.
- Blower cooler is loud under sustained load. Single-slot blower coolers are built for airflow in a rack/tower chassis, not silence — expect noticeable fan noise on long render jobs.

Refurbished, Tested & Warranty-Backed
Every card is power-tested and stress-tested before it ships. It carries a 90-day Serverwale warranty covering manufacturing defects and free replacement — and you can extend cover afterwards with a server AMC plan if it's going into a production workstation. See our refurbished server price index for how refurbished pricing compares to new across categories.
Server & Workstation Compatibility
The RTX 4000 needs a full-height PCIe 3.0/4.0 x16 slot with clearance for a single-slot workstation card and a free 8-pin PCIe power lead. It's a common drop-in for Dell Precision towers, HP Z-series workstations and rack GPU nodes. If you're building a dedicated cloud workstation or need it pre-fitted, we also offer workstation rental and can integrate the card into a render node for studios running a render farm. Talk to us before you buy if you're unsure your chassis/PSU can take it — a mismatched slot or missing power lead is the most common return reason.
